We made our first Merlot in 1984, starting with De Cascabel vineyards in El Dorado County. We made our first Calaveras County Merlot in 1996. Since 2011, we have made our Merlot from Rolleri Vineyards, just down the road from the winery. Romy Rolleri is a vineyard perfectionist and the grapes he sends us are beauties! Rich and complex with vanilla, black fruit, and dark cherry flavors.
