This wine is incredibly smooth, with a mouth-filling wallop of caramel and cherry. This vineyard sits on a wind-swept bluff above the Mokelumne River. The delta and ocean breezes from the Carquinez Straight provide natural air conditioning; this cooler microclimate insures good acidity in the grapes. We use very high quality new barrels for our Pinot - this contributes to its complexity and richness!
